Following the passage of California AB 5 legislation, Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez acknowledged there were a number of unintended consequences from the language of the bill and requested from the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to allow she and others to work collaboratively with the labor and businesses communities to develop additional language regarding the applicability of Dynamex in 2020 and pursue legislation that further clarifies the law.
